Phase 01
Design & consultation
You meet with Ryan Rothman, President and owner of RHR Pools, for a personalized custom design and consultation. We look at your lot, your access, your house lines and how you want to use the space — then produce a free design and construction proposal.
No commitment at this stage. Bring photos, ideas and questions.
Phase 02
Final review & contract
Once the design is approved, you meet with Ryan again to complete the final review and detail consultation. Scope, features and allowances are confirmed line by line, the contract is signed, and a small deposit is taken.
Everything you approved is what gets built.
Phase 03
Engineering, showroom & permit
Blueprints are fabricated by a licensed engineer. You then join us at our Jupiter showroom for a full blueprint review and custom color selection — tile, coping, decking and interior finish, all in hand.
RHR Pools submits the plans to your local building department for permit. We handle the paperwork.
Phase 04
Excavation, steel & gunite
The pool is excavated on a designated date — including tight‑access sites, a specialty of ours. Pool steel is installed and inspected, then the reinforced gunite shell is applied.
For best economics and efficiency a 10‑foot clearance is ideal, but there are several ways to excavate.
Phase 05
Plumbing, tile & features
Plumbing piping is installed and inspected. After approval the pipes are covered and the ground is compacted. Tile and every special feature you selected — sheer descents, bubblers, fire bowls, mosaics — are installed.
Finishes sourced from Pentair, National Pool Tile, Pebble Tec and Artistry in Mosaics.
Phase 06
Deck, barriers & equipment
Deck bonding is inspected and the deck is installed — marble pavers, brick pavers and many other options. Barriers, landscaping and sod follow. Pump, filter and purchased equipment are set, and the electrician hooks everything up.
A final inspection confirms electric and safety barriers are installed correctly. Protective barriers are required by law — we plan for them from day one.
Phase 07
Finish, fill & walkthrough
Interior finish is installed and the pool is filled with water. Your punchlist is completed, then our certified service technician walks you through operation and maintenance of the entire system.
Typical build time is 13–15 weeks, depending on weather, inspections and job complexity.
